South Africa’s beloved Ndlovu Youth Choir kicks off its 2026 international tour in Cape Town with a spectacular run at the Artscape Theatre Centre from 5–8 February 2026.
Presented by Showtime Management in association with SmileFM, the Cape Town season includes six performances:

With national tours selling out annually since 2021, the Choir continues to capture hearts at home and abroad. Their global footprint is equally impressive, boasting 4.5 million social media followers and over 750 million video views across platforms.
A highlight of the 2026 setlist is their isiZulu interpretation of Queen’s iconic “Bohemian Rhapsody” — a bold reimagining that received the blessing of Queen and the Mercury Phoenix Foundation. Choir director Ralf Schmitt recorded a fully produced studio version and music video before submitting it to the band’s publishers — a move that paid off with official approval for the first commercially released translation of the classic.
The programme also spans global favourites including Elton John’s “Circle of Life”, Aretha Franklin’s “Respect”, Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma”, Dolly Parton’s “Jolene” and Toto’s “Africa”. Local flair shines through South African and Amapiano medleys, Ghoema rhythms, and classics from Vicky Sampson, Mango Groove, Solomon Linda and Miriam Makeba.
Following the Cape Town performances, the Choir heads directly to the United States, the Netherlands’ AFAS Theatre, and Amare Theatre in The Hague. Johannesburg audiences can catch them at Montecasino Teatro from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
