Located at the V&A Waterfront, the Two Oceans Aquarium remains one of Cape Town’s most popular family attractions and an ideal outing for visitors of all ages. Best suited for children aged 2–12 and beyond, the aquarium offers an immersive journey into the fascinating marine world of South Africa’s Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Young explorers can marvel at sharks, rays, turtles and playful penguins while learning about ocean conservation through engaging exhibits and educational displays. One of the highlights for children is the interactive touch pool, where they can safely experience marine life up close.

As most of the attraction is indoors, it is also a perfect choice for rainy days or cooler winter outings. Families can comfortably spend several hours exploring the exhibits, watching feeding sessions and enjoying the aquarium’s relaxed atmosphere.

The aquarium is open daily from 9.30am to 6pm. Entry costs R130 for children (ages 4–13) and R280 for adults, with children under four entering free. Whether you are a local resident or visiting Cape Town for the first time, the Two Oceans Aquarium offers an entertaining and educational experience that brings the wonders of the ocean to life.
