Ster-Kinekor is rolling out the red carpet for movie lovers this October with its much-loved Throwback Cinema series — a celebration of timeless classics returning to the big screen for one week only at just R50 per ticket.
The line-up features a mix of magical adventures, romance, suspense and action, giving audiences of all ages a reason to head back to the cinema. Kicking things off on 3 October, Disney’s enchanting Aladdin (1992) brings family fun just in time for the school holidays, while the Oscar-winning Funny Girl screens exclusively at Rosebank Nouveau.
On 10 October, the beloved rom-com When Harry Met Sally revisits the ultimate “can men and women just be friends?” question with its sharp humour and iconic scenes. Action fans can catch Daniel Craig in Skyfall on 17 October, while thriller enthusiasts will be gripped by the psychological classic The Silence of the Lambs from 24 October. Rounding off the month is the feel-good 90s favourite You’ve Got Mail on 31 October, starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in a nostalgic love story.
Throwback Cinema titles will screen at Ster-Kinekor theatres nationwide, including Somerset Mall, Blue Route, V&A Waterfront, Tygervalley and Capegate in Cape Town.
