Cape Town once again becomes the global capital of trail running when the RMB Ultra-Trail Cape Town returns from 21 to 23 November 2025. Starting and finishing at Gardens Rugby Club, the event features breathtaking routes through Table Mountain National Park, the Twelve Apostles, and the Constantia Winelands.
Regarded as Africa’s premier trail-running event, UTCT attracts elite athletes and amateurs from more than 50 countries. Participants can choose from multiple distances — 100 Miler, 100 km, 55 km, 35 km, 23 km, and 16 km — each offering a world-class challenge with jaw-dropping scenery.
The 100 Miler, Cape Town’s ultimate endurance race, covers over 160 kilometres of mountainous terrain with steep climbs, technical trails, and dramatic descents. For spectators, the Gardens Rugby Club race village buzzes with energy, featuring live entertainment, food stalls, and a festival atmosphere throughout the weekend.
More than a sporting event, UTCT is a celebration of human endurance and community spirit. Its environmental ethos also ensures minimal impact on the natural heritage of Table Mountain.
